The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 and by the promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 They sat by it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 whom they hate for no other reason than that they believe in God, the Almighty, the One to whom all praise is due, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 But God surrounds them from all sides. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 In a guarded tablet. 22
