۞ Gather all the wicked together and their comrades, and those they had worshipped 22 apart from Allah, and direct them to the path of Hell, 23 And halt them so that they may be questioned. 24 "'What is the matter with you that ye help not each other?'" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 They will turn upon one another, and question one another. 27 They will say: "It was you who used to come to us from the right side [i.e. from the right side of one of us and beautify for us every evil, order us for polytheism, and stop us from the truth i.e. Islamic Monotheism and from every good deed]." 28 They answer: Nay, but ye (yourselves) were not believers. 29 And we had over you no authority, but ye were a people exorbitant. 30 Now the Word of our Lord hath been fulfilled concerning us. Lo! we are about to taste (the doom). 31 "So we led you astray because we were ourselves astray." 32 On that day they will all share the torment. 33 Verily We! in this wise We deal with the culprits. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet". 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 Behold, you will indeed taste grievous suffering [in the life to come,] 38 Ye are requited naught save what ye did - 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 [in the hereafter,] theirs shall be a sustenance which they will recognize 41 Fruits, and they shall be highly honored, 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 A cup from a gushing spring is brought round for them, 45 White, delicious to those who drink. 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them are those who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, the maidens with gorgeous eyes. 48 who are as chaste as sheltered eggs. 49 They will turn to each other and ask questions. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 after we die and become dust and bones, we shall be brought to judgement?'" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 Had I not the guidance of my Lord, I would certainly have been brought into torment". 57 (Another will say:)"Is it true, we are not going to die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 “This is, most certainly, the supreme success.” 60 For the like of this then let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Verily We! We have made it a temptation for the wrong-doers. 63 Lo! it is a tree that springeth in the heart of hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 and they [who are lost in evil] are indeed bound to eat thereof, and to fill their bellies therewith. 66 Then on top of it they will have a brew of boiling water. 67 And thereafter verily their return is unto the Flaming Fire. 68 Verily they found their fathers gone astray. 69 So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 although, verily, We had sent warners unto them: 72 See how terrible was the end of those who were warned. 73 Except the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 74
