We did deliver aforetime the Children of Israel from humiliating Punishment, 30 From Firaun; he was indeed proud, among the transgressors. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 and bestowed upon them the Signs wherein lay an evident test for them. 33 Lo! these, forsooth, are saying: 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 What! Are they better than the people of Tubba and those who were before them? We destroyed them because they were guilty of sin. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 On that Day no cousin shall help his cousin and they shall not be helped 41 except those to whom Allah shows mercy. He is the Most Mighty, the Most Compassionate. 42
