The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
