Nay, verily: By the Moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 And by the Dawn as it shineth forth,- 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to mortal man 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Each one is a hostage to one's deeds, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: we have not been of those who prayed. 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So there will not benefit them the intercession of [any] intercessors. 48 What ails them, that they turn away from the Reminder, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56
True are the words of God the Almighty.
