The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Indeed, the Qur'an is a decisive statement, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
