In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 Hath created man from a clot! 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 By no means: Verily man exorbitateth. 6 Because he considers himself self-sufficient. 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen him who restrains 9 a servant [of God] from praying? 10 Hast thou considered whether he is on the right way, 11 Or enjoins righteousness? 12 Bethinkest thou, if he belieth and turneth away? 13 Does he not know that Allah sees everything? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 So let him summon his helpmates; 17 We will call the guards of hell. 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
