And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Manifesting Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who was among those that stayed behind. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night-time; have ye then no sense? 138
