Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
