Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 The One Who created, and then made proper. 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 Save that which Allah may will. Verily He knoweth the public and that which is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder profits, 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 where he will neither die nor live. 13 Indeed successful is the one who became pure. 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
