In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The sure calamity! 1 What is the Inevitable Reality? 2 And what will make you realize what the Inevitable Hour is? 3 The Thamud and the Ad denied the (possibility of a) sudden calamity, calling it false. 4 As for Thamood, they were destroyed by the Screamer; 5 and as for Ad, they were destroyed by a wind clamorous, 6 Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms. 7 Do you see any remnants of them? 8 And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. 9 They defied their Lord's messenger, so He seized them with an ever-tightening grip. 10 Verily We! when the water rose, We bare you upon the traversing ark. 11 as a lesson for you, but only attentive ears will retain it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound one blast 13 and the earth and the mountains are carried aloft and are crushed to bits at one stroke, 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 when the sky will be rent asunder, the grip holding it together having loosened on that Day, 16 And the angels shall be on the borders thereof; and on that Day eight shall bear over them the Throne of thy Lord. 17 On that Day you shall be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden. 18 Now as for him whose record shall be placed in his right hand, he will exclaim: "Come you all!" Read this my record! 19 Certainly I thought that I should encounter my reckoning.' 20 And he will be in a life of Bliss, 21 In a lofty Paradise, 22 its clusters nigh to gather. 23 “Eat and drink with pleasure the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” 24 But as for him whose record shall be placed in his left hand, he will exclaim: "Oh, would that I had never been shown this my record, 25 "And that I had never realised how my account (stood)! 26 Oh, would that this [death of mine] had been the end of me! 27 My riches have not availed me, 28 There hath perished from me my authority. 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 And string him to a chain seventy cubits long. 32 He would not believe in Allah, the Most Great; 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 That is why he has no friend today, 35 and has no food except the filth from the washing of wounds, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
