The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous, 3 who taught by the pen, 4 taught Man that he knew not. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 whenever he believes himself to be self-sufficient: 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 Have you seen him who forbids 9 a servant of Ours from prayer? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 or if he commands others to maintain piety!? 12 Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? 13 Did he not know that God sees? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 a lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 Yes indeed; do not listen to him – and prostrate, and become close to Us. (Command of Prostration # 14) ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
