54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

HA MIM. 1 This is the revelations from the Beneficent, Merciful God. 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 A bearer of glad tidings and a warner. Yet most of them turn aside, so that they hearken not. 4 And they say, “Our hearts are covered against the affair you call us to, and there is deafness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us and you – therefore mind your own business, we are minding ours.” 5 Say, "I am only a human being like yourselves. It has been revealed to me that your God is One God. So take the straight path to Him and ask His forgiveness." Woe to those who associate others with Him, 6 who do not pay Zakah, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Indeed for those who believed and did good deeds, is a limitless reward. 8
