The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And who brings out the pasture 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 even though the life hereafter will be better and will last forever. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
