And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 AND, BEHOLD, Lot was indeed one of Our message-bearers; 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
