Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 and the burden-bearers 2 and those that speed along with gentle ease, 3 And those who distribute (it) by command, 4 Indeed, what you are promised is true. 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely, you are in different sayings, 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Death to those whose opinions are merely baseless conjectures. 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 [It will be] a Day when they will be sorely tried by the fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Accepting what their Lord has given them. Indeed, they were before that doers of good. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 In whose wealth the suppliant and the deprived had a share. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 In heaven is your sustenance, and also that which you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
