The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and a variety of corn with both husk and grain. 12 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 And created jinns from the white-hot flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has made the two oceans meet each other, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 Pearls and corals come forth from both of them. 22 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
