And (remember) when Ibrahim (Abraham) said: "O my Lord! Make this city (Makkah) one of peace and security, and keep me and my sons away from worshipping idols. 35 “O my Lord! The idols have led many people astray; so whoever followed me, is indeed mine; and whoever disobeyed me – then indeed You are Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 36 "O our Lord! I have made some of my offspring to dwell in a valley without cultivation, by Thy Sacred House; in order, O our Lord, that they may establish regular Prayer: so fill the hearts of some among men with love towards them, and feed them with fruits: so that they may give thanks. 37 Lord, You have knowledge of all that we hide and all that we reveal: nothing in heaven or on earth is hidden from God. 38 Praise be to God, who has given me, though I am old, Ishmael and Isaac; surely my Lord hears the petition. 39 My Lord! Make me to establish proper worship, and some of my posterity (also); our Lord! and accept my prayer. 40 Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on the day when the account is cast. 41
