So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muhammad], 36 in crowds, both on the right and on the left? 37 Does every one of them wish to enter the garden of tranquility? 38 Not at all, for We have created them of what they know. 39 But nay! I swear by the Lord of the rising-places and the setting-places of the planets that We verily are Able 40 to replace them by others who would be better than they; and We shall certainly not be overpowered. 41 So leave them to their vain disputes and amusement till they meet their day (of reckoning) promised them, 42 The Day whereon they will issue from their sepulchres in sudden haste as if they were rushing to a goal-post (fixed for them),- 43 their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation. Such is the Day that they were promised. 44
