The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 What could let you know what the nightly comer is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So let man consider from what he is created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On a Day whereon secrets shall be out. 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
