Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
