And We did not create the heaven and the earth and that between them aimlessly. That is the assumption of those who disbelieve, so woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Shall We then treat alike those that believe and act righteously and those that create mischief on earth? Or treat alike the God-fearing and the wicked? 28 This is a Book which We have sent down upon you, a blessed Book, for them to ponder upon its verses, and for men of intellect to accept advice. 29 We granted Solomon to David, a blessed servant of Ours and certainly the most repentant person. 30 When well-bred horses, which were fleet of foot were paraded before him near the close of day, 31 Then he said: Surely I preferred the good things to the remembrance of my Lord-- until the sun set and time for Asr prayer was over, (he said): 32 Return them to me!' And he began to stroke their shanks and necks. 33 And verily We tried Solomon, and set upon his throne a (mere) body. Then did he repent. 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 We subjected the wind to him, so that it blew gently at his bidding, wherever he directed it, 36 and all the devils who built and dived for him. 37 The rest of the devils were bound in chains. 38 'This is Our gift, give or withhold without reckoning' 39 And indeed for him in Our presence are, surely, proximity and an excellent abode. 40
