The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 has created man, 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 [At His behest] the sun and the moon run their appointed courses; 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
