The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 By the lone stars floating, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 followed by the succeeding, 7 Hearts, that Day, will tremble, 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 [saying], "Go to Pharaoh, he has exceeded all bounds, 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 you pay attention 25 Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears. 26
