The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Day promised, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 And He is the Fogiving, the Loving, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 Nay; but this is a glorious Qur'an, 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
