Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the sky breaks apart 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 Illustrious scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
