The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 And the One Who kept proper measure and then guided. 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 Therefore do remind, surely reminding does profit. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 Nay, but you prefer the present life; 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
