We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We bestowed the clear Book to both of them. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
