The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 fear God, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no recompense for it, for my only reward is with the Lord of the Universe, 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if ye could (but) understand. 113 It is not for me to repel those who choose to believe. 114 'I am naught but a plain warner.' 115 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Noah, thou shalt assuredly be one of the stoned.' 116 He said: my Lord! verily my people have belied me. 117 Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers." 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
