The Wall (Al-Hujuraat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ O believers, advance not before God and His Messenger; and fear God. God is All-hearing, All-knowing. 1 O ye who believe! Lift not up your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor shout when speaking to him as ye shout one to another, lest your works be rendered vain while ye perceive not. 2 Verily! Those who lower their voices in the presence of Allah's Messenger (SAW), they are the ones whose hearts Allah has tested for piety. For them is forgiveness and a great reward. 3 Verily, [O Prophet,] as for those who call thee from without thy private apartments - most of them do not use their reason: 4 If they had waited for you to come out it would have been better for them. But God is forgiving and kind. 5 O ye who believe! if an evil-doer came unto you with a report, then inquire strictly, lest ye hurt a people in ignorance and repent thereafter of that which ye have done. 6 And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided. 7 by God's favour and blessing; God is All-knowing, All-wise. 8 If two parties of the believers fight, put things right between them; then, if one of them is insolent against the other, fight the insolent one till it reverts to God's commandment. If it reverts, set things right between them equitably, and be just. Surely God loves the just. 9 Surely all believers are brothers. So make peace between your brothers, and fear God, so that mercy may be shown to you. 10
