Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
