If they charge thee with falsehood, say: "My work to me, and yours to you! ye are free from responsibility for what I do, and I for what ye do!" 41 And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear, although they will not use reason? 42 And there are among them such as [pretend to] look towards thee: but canst thou show the right way to the blind even though they cannot see? 43 Verily Allah will not deal unjustly with man in aught: It is man that wrongs his own soul. 44 And on the Day when He will gather them, [it will be] as if they had not remained [in the world] but an hour of the day, [and] they will know each other. Those will have lost who denied the meeting with Allah and were not guided 45 And if We show you something of what We threaten them with, or cause you to die, yet to Us is their return, and Allah is the bearer of witness to what they do. 46 To every people (was sent) a messenger: when their messenger comes (before them), the matter will be judged between them with justice, and they will not be wronged. 47 And they say, "When is [the fulfillment of] this promise, if you should be truthful?" 48 Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allah should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]." 49 Say, "Have you considered: if His punishment should come to you by night or by day - for which [aspect] of it would the criminals be impatient?" 50 And when it comes to pass, will you believe in it? What! now (you believe), and already you wished to have it hastened on. 51 The unjust will be told, "Suffer the everlasting torment. Do you expect a recompense other than what you deserve? 52 And they ask you “Is it a reality*?” Say, “Yes, by oath of my Lord, indeed surely it is a reality, and you will not be able to escape.” (* The punishment of the hereafter.) 53
