Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed. 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 That day man will say: "Where can I find escape?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 Upon that day man shall be told his former deeds and his latter; 13 But lo, man is well aware of himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that day, some faces will shine with freshness. 22 looking up to their Sustainer; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
