Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Not at all – but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honorable recorders, 11 Who know (all) that ye do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
