Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Nay, if you could but understand [it] with an understanding [born] of certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then you will surely be asked that Day about pleasure. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
