The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 those who pay the zakat; 4 Who abstain from sex, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Verily We created man from a product of wet earth; 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then through water We caused gardens of date-palms and vines to grow for you wherein you have an abundance of delicious fruits and from them you derive your livelihood. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 There is a lesson for you concerning cattle. We provide you with drink from their bellies and many other benefits. You can consume them as meat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
