Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 the oceans are merged together, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
