The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 The star of piercing brightness; 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He is created from a gushing fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),- 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
