The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)
8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 and earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man saith: What aileth her? 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 Because your Lord had inspired her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
