۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 and that is a mighty oath, if you but knew 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 It is a revelation sent down from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 and your portion in it is simply that you denounce it as false? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Wherefore then, if ye are not to be requited 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 If he is a Companion of the Right 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
