He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Prophet frowned and turned away 1 Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who thinketh himself independent, 5 to a rich man, 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And with fear (in his heart), 9 you pay him no heed. 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whosoever willeth - let him be admonished therewlth. 12 (It is) in Records held (greatly) in honour (Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 By the hands of scribes. 15 noble and virtuous scribes. 16 May (the disbelieving) human being be condemned! What makes him disbelieve? 17 From what did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 He makes his path easy for him. 20 then causes him to die and buries him, 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 For that We pour forth water in abundance, 25 and let the earth to break open 26 And We made corn grow, 27 And Grapes and nutritious plants, 28 olives, dates, 29 And dense gardens, 30 and fruits and herbage, 31 A provision for you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 on the Day when each man shall flee from his brother, 34 his mother, his father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Every man of them shall on that day have an affair which will occupy him. 37 Some faces on that day shall shine 38 and be cheerful and joyous. 39 some faces on that day shall be dusty 40 Darkness shall cover them. 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
