The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 the oceans are brought to a boil, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are made public 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 Oh, but I call to witness the planets, 15 that hide, 16 by the night swarming, 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 That this is indeed the word of an honoured Messenger, 19 Owner of strength, of established dignity with the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is it the word of an evil spirit accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
