The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 That over each soul there is a guardian. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 God has certainly power to bring him back (from the dead). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
