Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Truly, the God-fearing shall dwell amid gardens and fountains -- 45 Enter therein in peace, secure. 46 And We have removed any resentments which were in their breasts – they are brothers, sitting face to face on thrones. 47 Toil shall not afflict them in it, nor shall they be ever ejected from it. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 and that My chastisement is the painful chastisement. 50 And tell them of Abraham's guests, 51 When the angels came to him and said, “Peace"; he said, “We feel afraid of you.” 52 They said, 'Be not afraid; behold, we give thee good tidings of a cunning boy.' 53 He said, “Do you convey to me the glad tidings upon old age reaching me? So upon what do you convey glad tidings?” (* Prophet Ibrahim said this out of surprise.) 54 give me good tidings?' They said, 'We give thee good tidings of truth. Be not of those that despair.' 55 He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, excepting those that are astray?' 56 He asked: 'Messengers, what is your errand' 57 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals, 58 All except the household of Lut; surely we are going to deliver all of them. 59 all together, excepting his wife -- we have decreed, she shall surely be of those that tarry.' 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
