Pray, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, if You should bring the scourge of which they had been warned in my presence, 93 My Lord! then place me not among the wrong-doing people. 94 We certainly have the power to show you what they have been warned about. 95 Repel evil with that which is better. We are Best Aware of that which they allege. 96 And say: 'O my Lord, I seek refuge in You from evil suggestions of the satans. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 haply I shall do righteousness in that I forsook.' Nay, it is but a word he speaks; and there; behind them, is a barrier until the day that they shall be raised up. 100 So when the trumpet is blown, there shall be no ties of relationship between them on that day, nor shall they ask of each other. 101 Only those whose scales are heavier in the balance will find happiness. 102 but if it weighs less, one will be lost forever in hell. 103 The fire lashes their faces and therein are shriveled lips. 104 “Were not My verses recited to you, so you used to deny them?” 105 They will say, "Our Lord, our wretchedness overcame us, and we were a people astray. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 He will say, "Remain despised therein and do not speak to Me. 108 "A part of My servants there was, who used to pray 'our Lord! we believe; then do Thou forgive us, and have mercy upon us: For Thou art the Best of those who show mercy!" 109 But you took them for a mockery until they made you forget My remembrance and you used to laugh at them. 110 Indeed, I have rewarded them this Day for their patient endurance - that they are the attainers [of success]." 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will say: "A day or less than a day. Ask the enumerators of numbers." 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Did you imagine that We created you without any purpose, and that you will not be brought back to Us?" 115 So exalted is Allah, the Sovereign, the Truth; there is no deity except Him, Lord of the Noble Throne. 116 And whosoever calls upon another god with God, whereof he has no proof, his reckoning is with his Lord; surely the unbelievers shall not prosper. 117 Hence, [O believer,] say: "O my Sustainer! Grant [me] forgiveness and bestow Thy mercy [upon me]: for Thou art the truest bestower of mercy!" 118
