We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
