(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that it is He Who causeth to laugh and causeth to weep. 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
