The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Whereof do they question one another? 1 Concerning the Great News, 2 Regarding which they hold different views. 3 Surely yes, they will soon come to know! 4 Verily, verily they shall soon (come to) know! 5 HAVE WE NOT made the earth a resting-place [for you,] 6 and the mountains as pegs? 7 We created you in pairs, 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 And We have made the night a covering. 10 And We have made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We have built above you seven strong ones, 12 And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun). 13 And do We not send down from the clouds water in abundance, 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 and gardens dense with follage. 16 VERILY, the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false] has indeed its appointed time: 17 The day when the Trumpet will be blown you will therefore come forth in multitudes. 18 The heavens will have openings like doors. 19 And the mountains will be moved they will therefore become like mirages. 20 Surely the Hell is an ambush, 21 a return for the insolent, 22 Where they will remain for aeons, 23 Therein taste they neither coolness nor (any) drink 24 save boiling water and wash of the wounds; 25 as a fitting recompense for their deeds. 26 They indeed hoped not for a reckoning, 27 And they denied Our signs to the extreme. 28 And We have kept recorded everything in a Book, accounted for. 29 'Taste! We shall not increase you except in punishment' 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
