Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And striking off fire by dashing their hoofs. 2 Then those that make raids at morn, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And verily to that he is witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 And that which is in the breasts (of men) shall be made known. 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
