Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 We preserved a good name for him among posterity. 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
